The year 1986, place, Poranki, Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh – two doctors decide to switch profession from being medical practitioners to making medical practitioners, engineers and technocrats. They were on a mission to raise the academic careers of millions of students from the mediocre to the professional. Their decision altered the very academic landscape of the state.
The growth of Sri Chaitanya – post inception, has been phenomenal and part of folk-lore. Between 1986 and 2011 the institution set up branches across the state in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Tirupathi, Guntur, Eluru, Bhimavaram, Rajamundhry, Kakinada, Machilipatnam, Tenali, Ongloe, Srikakulam, Amalapuram, Chittoor, Nellore, Ananthapur, Nalgonda and Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh.
In 2004, Sri Chaitanya took a giant leap, this time, beyond the frontiers of the state, a move that only an institution of its calibre, could dare. The progress only proved the confidence of the institution in its commitment towards the student community and its diligent march could not be halted by linguistic barriers. In no time branches came up in Delhi; Hamirpur-Himachal Pradesh and Bellary – Karnataka. In 2006, the institution opened IIT-JEE / AIEEE / PMT Coaching Centres at Mandi-Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Ranchi and Bokaro – Jharkhand; Indore - Madhya Pradesh; and in 2011, the group made its presence felt in Bengaluru, Gangavathi and Raichur in Karnataka, again.
