KJ Somaiya College of Science and Commerce Mumbai,Maharashtra Our beloved founder Padmabhushan Pujya Late Shri. K. J. Somaiya laid the foundation of Somaiya Vidyavihar in 1959. It was the distinguished vision of our beloved founder that modern professional education must remain true to the sprit of Indian ethos and culture. In the past five decades Somaiya Vidyavihar has grown into an educational complex with thirty five institutions catering to diverse fields of education such as Humanities Engineering Education Management and Mass-communication with students’ strength of 27000 and 1700 faculty members in a throbbing sixty six acres campus. The college has grown in leaps and bounds in terms of student strength courses subjects offered and facilities etc. The college had an opportunity to endorse its standard and class through the National Assessment and Accreditation Council an autonomous institution of University Grants Commission in 2004. The college received ‘A’ grade in the assessment.
